Did you ever wonder why we found him so endearing? It’s because he represents the archetype of “The Playmate”, that our inner child is searching. We took to him with the same fascination, as a child rushing towards a playmate swinging from the trees in the orchard.
Our “inner child” maybe neglected in our mad rush to get ahead in life, making it sullen and cranky. This inner child is the “first love” of our soul, as the other parts of us like the conforming adult came later.
The soul agonizes when the “inner child” is unhappy!
Consciously make time for PLAY in your life. Times when you can be spontaneous, joyful, free, and totally absorbed in the moment. Spending time with friends, hobbies, comedy clubs, sports are all forms of adult PLAY.
And, if life is giving you a tough time, double your dose of PLAY, as its an excellent stressbuster.
